Favorite Things To Do: China Edition

Lately I've posted mostly photos of my travels, but little of my daily life in China. I'm packing up to leave on summer holiday, so I wanted to leave you with 31 days of posts that paint a picture of what it's like to live in China and what my current life is like. If you want to join in the sharing I'd love it if you would place a link in the comments back to your post. I hope you enjoy and have a great summer!

One thing that I love about my life in China is how much exercise I'm able to get. I typically walk about 5-6 miles a day on average, minimum. Some days it's even double that. I don't own a car or motor bike. I do have a bicycle, but I'm more fond of walking.

Back in the states, I lived in the Chicago suburbs and was confined to my car for at least an hour commute each way. It was often longer. So having the freedom to walk 20 minutes across campus to teach classes, 30 minutes to walk to the shopping plaza and a 7 minute walk to Walmart, I love having the opportunity to get in that much exercise daily.

What's one of your favorite things to do?

  1. Five to six miles is a lot! I love walking, too. Each day I take the dog out a few times. He loves it.
